Will You be Mistaken for Santa this Christmas?

Believe it or not Christmas is 92 days away! That is three months and 2 days to fit into that Christmas dress you have been dying to wear. Will you do it? I know this year I do not want to worry I’ll be mistaken for Mrs. Claus if I decide to wear red. This could be Christmas number 5 that I wanted to wear this one skirt in particular but can’t get my sugar plum bottom into it. I keep telling myself that I have an excuse seeing as how I have a knee injury that requires me to … Continue reading

“Santa” Gets Booted From Disney World

Call it a case of mistaken identity… or a case of holiday HUMBUG, either way the Scrooge-like actions of some people at Florida’s Walt Disney World got a Santa look-a-like booted from the “happiest place on earth.” According to news reports, the incident started when a group of excited children confused Florida resident and Dsiney visitor, 60-year-old J.D. Worley with jolly ol’ St. Nick. The plump, white bearded Worley graciously played along with the large group of kids UNTIL someone apparently complained to the Orlando theme park management that a man in a red shirt and blue jeans with a … Continue reading

Enough to Make a Whale Go Back to her Aquarium

Well, I went on a run this morning. A donut run! Pick your jaw up off the floor, we all make mistakes. Besides, my husband is working and my kids asked if we could get donuts this morning. Normally I would never entertain such a request but they got me at a weak moment. So, I get in my car and go on a donut run. I get a pretty sprinkle topped donut, a cinnamon roll, a glazed and a chocolate glazed for the kids. Me? I got a mega deluxe cream filled donut with a huge cup of coffee. … Continue reading

Death of a Beauty Queen

Sit back and ask yourself why you want to lose weight? When I asked myself that question I am ashamed to say it was out of vanity. I wanted to become some great beauty that walked down the street hearing mutterings about how I looked amazing after having four children. After years of my husband telling me that vanity is not a goal and only a concrete goal will give the tool to accomplish, I finally figured out what he was trying to say. Vain aspirations will achieve vain results. My desire to be something or someone else was not … Continue reading

Scarlett Johansson Weds and Uma Thurman Hooks Up with Furry Friends

Scarlett Johansson is now officially Mrs. Ryan Reynolds. The two good-looking Hollywood stars tied the knot in Canada this weekend, according to Johansson’s rep. Reports say the intimate wedding took place Saturday evening at a remote wilderness resort outside Vancouver. Guests included Scarlett’s mother and brother. Few details on the ceremony were released, though that should come as no surprise since the actors are not big on publicizing their private lives. In fact, 23-year-old Johansson and 31-year-old Reynolds typically go out of their way to throw off reporters and the paparazzi. The couple, who have been dating since Spring 2007, … Continue reading

Auntie Claus – Elise Primavera

The Kringles love Christmas. In fact, everything in their world revolves around it. The father owns a jingle bell company. The mother owns the Mistletoe-and-Nail Salon. They keep their tree up all year long. Sophie and Chris, the children, have presents galore – and still want more. Auntie Claus watches all this with a disapproving eye, and suggests that perhaps they get too many presents, but the Kringles won’t hear of such a thing. So Auntie does her best to instill good values in the children, having Sophie over for tea and giving her good Christmas advice, such as how … Continue reading
