Biggest Loser Contestants Motivate Healthy Wage Members

Yesterday I blogged about an exciting new program called “Healthy Wage.” This program offers incentives to help you lose weight and get healthy. Both are important factors to consider when deciding to make a lifestyle change. It’s not just about losing the weight; it is about creating a healthier you. In this program are five health challenges that members can choose from. One of them is the Biggest Loser Matchup, which was inspired by the hit NBC show, “The Biggest Loser.” This particular challenge invites teams of five people to compete for the most weight lost between May 15 and … Continue reading

Did Biggest Loser Go Too Far?

If you watched Biggest Loser this past season, it was a special series – couples! There was a mother/daughter couple, a father/daughter couple, best friends, married couples, and even divorced couple. The divorced couple – Kelly Fields and Paul Marks – came in weighing quite a bit. Kelly weighed in at 271 – the heaviest female on this season. In this challenge “Biggest Loser” contestants motivate healthy wage members. Pete Thomas lost 83 pounds and lasted 62 days before he was voted off season two of the “Biggest Loser.” Since then he has lost a total of 185 pounds. But even more exciting is that he has kept the weight off. Keeping the … Continue reading

How A Writers’ Strike Could Affect Your Favorite TV Shows

For those of you who have better things to worry about… Talks between Hollywood writers and producers have stalled. Translation: Your favorite TV shows could be disappearing in the weeks to come if a settlement is not reached. According to leaders for the Writer’s Guild of America (WGA), a strike could happen as early as tomorrow if enough members decide NOT to work without a contract while a deal is being hammered out. WGA members’ contracts expired last night. Earlier in the day talks between the writers from your favorite television shows and show producers ended abruptly with both sides … Continue reading
