Mission Possible: A Reason for Hope

I am actually a very optimistic person. The glass is always half full. . .unless it’s truly almost empty and even then I would find the positive in the situation. It’s just my personality. But I recognize on the road to weight loss that there are many of us who go along and get discouraged at the slightest set back. I had a horribly busy weekend in … Continue reading

The reality was that because her kids could eat junk and get away with it she had it on hand. Then when she was hungry, and stressed or in a hurry, guess what she grabbed? I am certainly not suggesting that you push “weight … Continue reading

Do You Use the 80/20 Rule?

Maybe for someone with a will of iron steel, this type of indulgence is not necessary. But for us mere mortals who are tempted by cheesecakes, nachos and the occasional soda, the 80/20 rule can be a lifesaver for our motivation! The 80/20 rule is basically as it sounds. . .that you eat healthy 80% of the time and indulge yourself a little 20% of the time. If you struggle with binging, this is something for you! (And by the way, if you’re following the Mission Possible series in my blog or in the forums, this is my ‘dieting’ rule.) … Continue reading
