McDonald's: Foods Less Than 300 Caloriesby Angel Lynn Diamond | More from this Blogger 24 Aug 2009 06:05 AM We all know that fast foods are not a good thing to have especially if you are trying to lose weight. When I totally cut out fast foods a few years back the weight dropped off me a whole lot faster. Since that time I have eased up on myself a bit and allowed some fast foods back into my life. However, I have a rule for myself that only certain things are allowed. The rule for me is that the item has to be less than 300 calories or I cannot have it. Here is a list of allowable, less than 300 calories foods at McDonald's: Hamburger 250 calories Cheeseburger 300 calories Ranch Snack Wrap (grilled chicken) 270 calories Honey Mustard Snack Wrap (grilled chicken) 260 calories Chipotle BBQ Snack Wrap (grilled chicken) 260 calories Four-Piece Chicken Nuggets 190 calories Six-Piece Chicken Nuggets 280 calories Premium Southwest Salad without chicken 140 calories Premium Bacon Ranch Salad with grilled chicken 260 calories Premium Bacon Ranch Salad without chicken 140 calories Premium Caesar Salad with grilled chicken 220 calories Premium Caesar Salad without chicken 90 calories Side Salad 20 calories Newman's Own Low-Fat Family Recipe Italian Dressing 60 calories Newman's Own Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing 60 calories Snack Size Fruit and Walnut Salad 210 calories English Muffin 160 calories Hash Browns 150 calories Two Scrambled Eggs 170 calories Fruit and Yogurt Parfait with Granola 160 calories Fruit and Yogurt Parfait without Granola 130 calories Apple Dippers 35 calories Kiddie Cone 45 calories Vanilla Reduced Fat Ice Cream Cone 150 calories Although there are a few more foods that are less than 300 calories, which does include a small order of french fries, I have left them off the list because they are just not worth having for that many calories. They are also not too good for you. The above list does not reflect any additions to the item, such as sauces for the chicken nuggets or extra cheese. The sauces are approximately 50 calories extra. This list also reflects one serving size. Fast food is not recommended when dieting, but with the busy lives that people lead now sometimes you are just too tired or too busy to stop and cook something healthy. Once in a while it is okay to pull up to the drive-thru and get yourself something to eat as long as you stick to some basic moderation and do not make it a habit.
