Ever Wondered About that Diet Product in the Grocery Isle?

I'm going to reserve Friday's as my unsponsored product of the week day. As a Gen-X/Yer, I'm a sucker for any kind of new product, especially diet ones. I'll be everyone's diet product guinea pig and let you know my rants and raves. If you've got any suggestions, product raves or something you've always wanted to try but haven't, shoot me an e-mail or leave a comment, I'd love to hear from you!!!

This week's product: GeniSoy Soy Crisps.

First of all, yum. These oven baked little morsels make a great snack and kill my cravings for chips. They come in a variety of flavors (my faves are Zesty Ranch, Nacho Cheese and Salt and Vinegar) so if you need a Doritos fix and have a great imagination, these do the trick! Be careful though, and measure your portions...if I don't ...whoops, before I know it, I'm staring at the bottom of the bag!

Just the Facts: Serving Size: 22 Crisps Calories 110 Total Fat: 2g Saturated Fat 0g Cholesterol Omg Sodium 170mg Total Carbs 15g Dietary Fiber 2g Sugars 1g Protein 7g

That's equal to 2 Weight Watcher's Points, which makes for a pretty good snack and it fills you up. It's also has 7 grams of Soy Protein which is proven to reduce the risk of heart disease (according to the FDA, you need 25g per day to be exact).

Check out Genisoy's website for a complete list of their products which include Protein Bars, Shakes and Snack Bars, most which can be found in the Health Food Section of your supermarket.

Next Friday's Product o' the Week: My Fave Diet Popcorn, Healthy Pop!

Sounds interesting! I am always afraid to try the soy products because I have a slight allergy to soy and I am afraid that a strong concentration of it will cause me to have a reaction. Anyway, I will be looking out for your other product reviews. Great idea!
