Looking For My Waist: Just Keep Walking

Like the fish from Finding Nemo with her ongoing personal reminder, "Just keep swimming... Swimming, swimming, swimming", I am telling myself to just keep walking (walking, walking, walking). I did not exactly go for the walk everyday last week, even with the prize of a new measuring tape looming overhead, my house guests made it difficult. (Nothing like a good excuse to be lazy huh?)

When I did not take the morning walk, I did however make it point to keep moving. I spent much of last week helping my in-laws find a new house as they are moving here from NY. I walked up numerous inclined driveways, and up and down more stairs than I can count. I was certainly not stationary.

This week my dad is here, and the week is already scheduled to the max. I will have to get up extra early to get any walking done. However, I promised to do a walking tour of downtown Atlanta (we are city people) and to take tour the MARTA (subway) with him so he could learn his way around. He is also considering moving from NY.

Therefore, my plan for this next week is as follows. Set my alarm for 6:30(as I did not wake up early enough this morning to have time to walk due to the time change, I woke up an hour "later"). Walk for 1 hour; wear boots if my ankle hurts. Then get on with my day, which will hopefully be packed with lots of walking.

My mind is up to the challenge; I just need bring to get my body along for the journey.

My progress this week? The scale hates me... up 1 pound to 248 lbs.

I did mange to get into some of my skinnier clothes this week.

(update: since I originally wrote this post back in march, I have been up and down in my weight loss struggle. I am having some health difficulties, and am not as active as I would like to be, but having my two doggies is keeping me at least walking, even though I am not walking very fast)

Hi, I've been doing body wraps since September in the privacy of my own home. I've lost 20 lbs and over 20 inches. My waist was 48 3/4" and it's now 39 3/4" It feels so good to get my sexy back. I rarely exercise althought because I've been able to walk myself now thru stores like I've never done before... If you'd like to know more I'll be happy to share my story... after turning diabetic I feel better and more controlled than before... I look forward to hearing more about your story. Lu Anne
