Little Things Mean a Lot

To lose a quick few pounds for that high school reunion in a couple of weeks you only have to remember a some simple rules. It might be painful to some, but if you really want to do it, there is a way.

• Do not eat after 7 p.m. This means absolutely nothing. • Drink ten 8-ounce glasses of water each day. This will flush out your body. • Skip the fast food restaurants. Go home and make a salad or some thinly sliced turkey and a vegetable. • Do not drink your calories. Forget the milkshakes and cappuccinos. Drink water, coffee, tea or sparkling water. Stay far away from soda too. • Exercise for 30 minutes a few times a week. Do something fun that will also get your heart racing. Play outside with your kids. Doing something fun will make it seem less like work. • Keep busy and stay away from the kitchen. When you make your family a meal do not pick at the food while cooking. Stick to something low-cal at meals. • No bread or pasta. No sugar either. Use a sugar substitute if you must. • Eat smaller portions. If Americans realized what a portion is they would understand why they are gaining weight. We tend to take as much as we want without regard to our weight. • Stop eating before you get full. Some people just keep going because it tastes so darn good. Guilty as charged. • Eat slowly. Savor each bite. By the time you have eaten a few bites of food you will realize that you are really satisfied and this is the sign to put the brakes on and push yourself away from the table.

Losing weight takes quite a bit of self-control especially if you love food. You are stronger than you think. You just have to remember to think about what you are doing before you actually do it.

not eating after a certain time is a myth as it is all relative to what time you actually go to bed.

i avoid old wives tales such as these and look for actual plans to follow. for some great pointers on how to build a healthy diet that leads to a healthier lifestyle, check out:

i've been using it for months and have zero complaints.

Thank you Fitclicker1 for your opinions. I was assuming that people would realize that it would be relative to the time that you actually went to bed. I was basing it on the typical bedtime of the average American. Let's all go check out Fitclicker1's website now.
