Get Ready for Swimsuit Seasonby Lashell Hoover | More from this Blogger 05 Feb 2007 06:00 PM Is your body ready for swimsuit season? If not, why not start getting into shape now? Are there some dietary changes you can make that will give you the results you want? If you start now, you will have time to lose weight slowly and safely. By the time you're ready to splash in a pool or stroll on a beach, you will have given yourself and your body time to adapt to a healthier way of eating. So, where should you start? Devise a plan of action. Do you know how much weight you want to lose? Do you have an exercise routine that will help get your body into shape? Regular exercise, with a well-balanced diet, will work wonders. Speaking of diets, have you checked your eating habits, lately? Are you munching junk foods on the run? Are you living on take-out? Is dinner your only meal of the day? Find a nutritional program you can follow. Trust me, the choices are overwhelming. You'll have to find the one that works with your lifestyle. It will have to be one with foods you like to eat. The meals should be easy to prepare with no splurging on fancy ingredients or exotic foods. You want to eat sensibly and be conscious of every mouthful. Take the time to eat leisurely but don't eat in front of the television. Be mindful of what you want to accomplish and take small steps to achieve your goal. You'll be in swimsuit shape before you know it. By getting ready for swim season now the process will be less stressful. You'll have more time to make those small changes. You don't want to fall for fad diets or the temporary fix because you need a quick solution. One more note of caution: if you want to lose a couple of dress sizes or more, you may want to consult with your physician. YAY! shopgirl515 (21) 07 Feb 2007 07:18 PMI know but I think theyre rubbing it in our faces that we arent quite ready for swimsuit season seeing as its only Feb. and all....... But to get a kick start on all this I'm doing the Master Cleanse I think its called?? I start tomarrow and it's basically just lemon juice, water and maple syrup for 10 days. Beyonce lost 20 pounds on it for her role in Dream Girls so Im crossing my fingers..... how are u all kick starting ur bathing suit season? any good ideas I should be aware of? Lashell Hoover (470) 08 Feb 2007 05:06 AMI'm attempting to lose a lot of weight so I'm doing it the old fashion way. I try to stay away from sweets, limit carbs and those prepackaged foods you get from the grocer's freezer. I've been looking at the master cleanse because I need to clean out my system. But, I'm a little worried about diarrhea because I'm on the move. Finding a restroom can get tricky. Good luck! Drop by the forum and let us know if it worked. There are quite a few people who are interested in it. Community Tags diet, exercise, excercise, swim season Discuss this article
