The Fitness Blog Week in Review for Jan 6-Jan 12

Good morning, it’s a soggy Saturday here. It started raining yesterday and it’s been quite drenching. They are worried about freezing temperatures and there’s every chance we’ll have freezing rain and ice storms today so I have a feeling we’ll be fairly housebound for the weekend. Finding the Action Hero Within

I decided to take a little time for myself today and watch a movie. Since Pride and Prejudice wasn’t available, I opted for an action movie. A Study in Princesses

I realize I’ve been almost nothing but harsh on the Disney Princesses. Sure, I have an avowed love of the relevant movies from the late 1980s/early 90s, but I direct constant criticism at the fact that these characters are princesses. However, the trend is getting better. Disney needs to finally let go of its penchant for royalty, but it hasn’t just been twiddling its thumbs about feminism in the meantime.
