by Mary Ann Romans

02 Nov 2009 02:53 PM

I just read Pam's blog post that mentions the importance of sleep with losing weight. I completely support this notion, or should I say that all of the studies I have been reading lately support this.

by Pam Connell

I'm not doing terribly well in the weight loss department. After a warm and sunny summer and September, we've had some of what Winnie-the-Pooh would definitely call "blustery days". I just want to curl up by the fireplace and listen to the rain on the roof.

Last night I had dinner at my parents' house, along with my husband and kids, my sister and her husband and kids, and my aunt. There were 13 of us in all. Italian food is Mom's specialty, what I remember from growing up. I'm allergic to perfumes and fragrances. (This is relevant, really.

For the past few days, in our house, the heat has actually been going on in the mornings and sometimes even in the early afternoon. The tick-tick-tick of the baseboard heat has a sort of soothing sound. This morning, waiting for the school bus with my son, we were jumping up and down to keep warm.

by Mary Ann Romans

I have to admit that my weight loss has been on the slow side. But because my main goal is to make my lungs and heart stronger, and to make this routine really part of my normal life, I am okay with that.

by Pam Connell

26 Sep 2009 12:56 AM

by Mary Ann Romans
