Calorie Burners Right At Homeby Heather Long | More from this Blogger 30 Jun 2006 11:00 AM We were talking about an exercise component earlier when we were discussing your basal metabolism and we all know that doing a good cardio workout can burn calories. There are other ways that can help you burn calories and move towards your weight loss goals. Calorie burners around your home include any activity that gets you up and moving. So whether you are walking up and down the stairs with the laundry, playing with the baby, cleaning, vacuuming, taking the dog out for a walk or doing the gardening - you are burning calories. Does this mean you can skip your exercise routines? Absolutely not. What it means is that what you burn during the normal course of the day supplements your workouts. You may find that your activity levels increase as your lose weight and that means, do your house work, your gardening, your lawn mowing and more in conjunction with your cardio routines. In fact, you can even do them as a part of interval training. How does that work? Well, try this on for size - if you have a treadmill in the house - do ten minutes on the treadmill at a brisk pace and then head back to your daily activities - try to spend ten minutes of every hour or every other hour on the treadmill - not only will you accumulate sixty minutes of intensity cardio, but you will actually boost your regular activities that you are performing in between. This is a great way for moms to get in their exercise without having to take a lot of time away from the kids. If you have an infant, consider putting them in the stroller for a twenty minute walk in the morning and the evening. The brisk pace will be good for you and most babies enjoy the sensation of strolling. You can even encourage a spouse to join you at one or both walks and you'll get the bonus of having a companion to talk to and quality time with the family as well. How do you use regular activities to boost your weight loss? Related Articles: Learn more about Heather Long ![]() Heather Long is 35 years old and currently lives in Wylie, Texas.
