Are We All The Same Size?

I went shopping the other day for pants. I finally found the kind that I wanted on the rack and took a couple of different sizes into the dressing room. The size 10 was too big, but the size 8 was almost perfect. They were a tad short. I could live with it, but I wanted them to be just a little bit longer for when I wear heels with them.

Back to the rack I went. Oh good...they had Tall sizes. They had tall sizes in 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20, that is. They had them in a variety of colors too. They only had this one pair of size 8 in an average length and they were black. Did I forget to mention that they also had sizes 6s and 4s? What is up with that? I then found another pair of pants that were okay, but not as good as the first pair that I tried. They were a different style and kind of wide at the bottom. I decided to look through that rack. I encountered the same thing there as well. They had everything in all colors except size 8. Hmmph!

I went to my car and drove to the next store branch in a different town (same store). "Size 10, size 12, size 6, size 16, size 18, size 4, size 14, size 20." Back in the car, zoom, next town, same store. "Ridiculous!", I complain. I walk in to the store.....same thing. The last store that I went to after that (and the only one left) had one pair of size 8 in brown, but the length was still average. I tried them on again and decided to settle for them. They were not too short, but I could not wear shoes with a heel with them.

My conclusion was actually very comforting in one way. There are a lot of size 8 people out there. I guess I am part of the majority. However, this gives me all the more reason to try and get down to a size 6 or maybe even a size 4 so that my selection in clothes is easier. Makes perfect sense to me!

Yeah size 8's are hard to come by. While I was on my weight loss journey it was hard for me to find clothes when I was a size 8. I am now a size 1 and I have an easier time finding clothes. Good luck on your journey. Keep your head in the game and your body will follow. Here is a site with some foods that help reduce belly fat http://www.journeydownthescale.info
